Reflection:
A mass spring system that comes to mind is a trampoline. My family had one growing up and it reminded of how important the job of springs are. They move up and down allowing the trampoline to move as the person jumping. When the Trampoline is still and nobody is jumping on it, then it would be at zero which is equilibrium. In medicine they use EEG's to measure brain waves. I think it would be important to understand the amplitude, frequency and period in order to read the EEG. Whether the person is having seizures or not and they use it to see if a person is brain dead. Trigonometry has changed the way I think. I never thought that Trig could be applied to anything. So it's nice knowing I am learning something useful.
